What About the 144,000?

Revelation speaks of a select group of Saints who actually survive the Tribulation and are among those that remain at YahShua's final coming. Who are these Saints? Where do they come from? What do they do? How will we know who they are?

Most prophecy teachers errantly suppose that these are 144,000 Jews who will be protected by Yah and sent to evangelize the world. However, Scripture is clear that these 144,000 come from all 12 Tribes of Israel. Certainly 12,000 will be Jews, but the rest will be from the other 11 tribes, currently dispersed thoughout the world.

More than likely, these people will just keep surviving as others fall dead around them. Nothing will explain their survival other than Yah's divine protection. Blow them out of the sky, drown them, shoot them, bury them . . . they will survive because YHVH will be with them.

Scripture says they are virgins. However, does this mean literal virgins? Possibly. But in context, Revelation speaks of these "virgins" right in the midst of the Great Whore and her fornication with the Beast. It is possible, in light of this context, that women simply refers to daughters of this Whore. They could very well be spiritual virgins, unpolluted from the Great Whore and without fault before YHVH. They follow Messiah wherever He goes and so are kept from harm during the Tribulation.

Revelation 12 speaks of the Woman fleeing into the wilderness where she is protected from the Anti-Messiah for the last 3.5 years of the Great Tribulation. This Woman is the redeemed of Israel, the 144,000. Living in Israel, keeping Torah, and loving Messiah, these faithful saints will be horrified when the Anti-Messiah emerges. Remembering YahShua's words and seeing the abomination that causes desolation, these 144,000 saints will flee east into the wilderness, protected from the anti-Messiah.

The remaining believers who did not flee east will be violently persecuted by the Beast and the Great Whore, beheaded by the millions.

The 144,000 will remain in the wilderness, protected by YHVH, until resurrected (on Tishri 1, 6008, according to Michael Rood). The Two Witnesses will emerge from this group, but will not be part of the 144,000 once they flee, staying behind to continue the evangelism. Ultimately they will be struck dead but will be the first to resurrect at the last trumpet.

Do you feel the call to Israel? Does your heart long to keep Torah and explore the Hebrew roots of your faith? It is possible you might be part of the lost Israeli tribes. Events shall soon reveal the Truth.
