Multnomah Falls Sabbath Trip
| Joyous Greetings in the Matchless LOVE of YahShua! The Happy New Year is now less than 2 days away. HallaluYAH! Spring is on the verge of finally, at long last, overtaking the cold, rainy winter we have had up here in the Pacific Northwest. For the very last shabbat of the Hebrew/Jewish year, after our service in the morning, we took off to Multnomah Falls -- a toursit hot bed where a trail takes you to a beautiful stone-hewn bridge facing the bottom of the 600 foot waterfall, and then a mile trek winds up the mountain to a wooden railed deck overlooking the very top of the immense waterfall. The sight was stunning though I have hikled the trail a few times in the past. I was stunned when Sister Annika, only 2 days from her due date and very pregnant, insisted that we hike the trail all the way up to the top of the waterfall. I could tell our nutrition and all whole/organic diet has made a difference, bnecause our family barely broke a sweat hiking the very steep cliff, even while others who looked skinner than me were wheezing, tired and out of breath half way up the trail. When we finally reached the top, overlooking the gushing waterfall spilling down the basalt black cliffs into the emerald green pool below, Yah spoke to me -- saying as I stood at the top of this gushing waterfall, so He was placing me at the brink of His Overflowing Revival gushing forth from Portland. As we hked on another trail that wound up further back into the woods on the top of the mountain beyond the waterfall, much of the green moss, smaller waterfalls, and gushing rapids/springs reminded me of the Ariel property we are about to purchase. Yah seemed to be saying that from Arile Springs Messianic Community, the revival and global reformation would gush and just as Multnomah falls drains into a creek that spills out into the might Columbia River toward the Pacific Ocean, so the revival which would gash from our Ariel congregation would gush into the mighty revival of the Northwest and eventually spill into the nations and world. HallaluYAH! We also had several deivine appointemtns. One couple, devote Christians, eagerly took one of our website cards and sounded very inetersted in the Torah and Messianic Judaism/ Hebrew Roots. Several other joyful hikers took our website card as well. The children were real troopers and very much enjoyed the hike up, the waterfalls, the absolute beauty of the mountains. If any of you get a chance to visit Oregon, I highly recommend Multnomah Falls. It is free, the hike is intensely steep but not too bad (just about a mile up), and the beauty is out of this world.
