LAMB DAY BEGINS
Tonight, on 3/27, as the sun sets, begins the 10th day of the 1st Hebrew Month -- otherwise known in Torah as Lamb Day. From sunset tonight until sunset tomorrow, we are commanded to go select our lamb, purchase it and, for the next 4 days, inspect our lamb for blemishes until we slaughter it on the 14th day of the 1st month (April 2nd) on Passover. We are planning to go to a farm in Yamhill, on the outskirts of Portland, where we have been purchasing our raw milk, and we will be buying a full grown lamb. We will be allowing the children to play with the lamb and get to know the lamb tomorrow as we make the official transaction. 4 days from tomorrow, the famers will be slaughtering our lamb and saving the blood in a bowl for the Passover Celebration on April 2nd. I hope and pray all you Saints have a wonderful and joyous work day tomorrow as you go select your lamb for the coming Passover. Please, if anyone on this list would like to attend Passover 2007, let me know. You are welcome to attend this dinner on 4/2 to be given in the honor of the Lamb who is Risen.
